Kim Arcus

QUALIFICATIONS:
Dip Phty (Otago), BMS (Waikato), MSc International Health Policy (LSE/LSHTM - London)
EXPERIENCE:
Kim has a wide range of health experience both locally and overseas. His core skills are in the complex translation of policies and organisational strategy to effective implementation. This is both the formal aspects of planning and programme design through to the systems and networks needed for change, particularly across multiple organisations.
Kim’s ability to work at multiple levels comes from his work with the Ministry of Health, public health units, DHBs collectively and individually, PCTs in the UK, PHOs, academia and providing care himself as a physiotherapist. He uses these perspectives with his broad analytical and project management skills to effectively progress policies and initiatives.
Kim has a particular focus on primary health care, chronic conditions, population health initiatives and the interface between urban design and health.
