Dr Reddy's New Zealand Limited
Lynne is CEO of Dr Reddy's New Zealand Limited and has over 15 years experience in health services strategic planning, funding, and service management.
Lynne has held a number of positions. From 1991 until July 2008 Lynne was the Chair of the New Zealand Committee of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM) which sets standards and provides training for Public Health Physicians in New Zealand. Lynne now chairs the NZ Public Health Charitable Trust which provides the training for Public Health medicine and secretariat services for a number of professional organisations.
Lynne has previously held a range of senior positions in the health sector including National Director of Public Health for the Ministry, member of the Board of Directors for PHARMAC, General Manager Public Health for the Central RHA and acting General Manager Funding for Auckland District Health Board. She also has 7 years experience in General Practice.
In 2003 Lynne established Affordable Healthcare Limited (AHL) with the goal of commercialising innovative health services and products to improve access to healthcare and improved health status. It was this vision that lead to her travelling to India to make contact with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories which had a similar vision.
From April 2008, AHL became a wholly owned subsidiary of Dr Reddy's with the primary objective of commercialising off patent medicines in New Zealand. By offering medicines at highly competitive prices, AHL intends to generate significant savings for PHARMAC, that can then be reallocated by Government to address currently unmet need for health care. In May 2009 AHL changed its name to Dr Reddy’s New Zealand Limited.
In addition to her role with Dr Reddy’s, Lynne continues to work as a management consultant within the public health sector.
